Chris Bounds of West Hills, California has played on both offense and defense since his sophomore season

According to Kyle McCall of BuffStampede the Colorado Buffaloes picked up their second commitment of the week (Nick Fisher committed on Sunday night) with a verbal from Chaminade high school tight end Chris Bounds. Bounds will join current Buffaloes Rick Gamboa and Donovan Lee as former Chaminade teammates in Boulder.

Bounds has started on both sides of the ball since his sophomore season, earning all-conference honors in '12 and '13. He rotated positions on the defensive line and played tight end on the offensive side of the ball.

Bounds becomes the thirteenth member of the 2015 class and the fifth from California. He's the second tight end to give his verbal to the Buffaloes this cycle, joining Aaron Haigler of Sherman Oaks.

Welcome aboard, Chris!

Notes: From Rivals ($): "I love both positions," he said. "On offense they are planning to throw it to the tight end more this year so I should get some more passes. I feel like I am an asset on the field if they throw me the ball.

"And on the defensive line, I can play any position, end, middle, anywhere. I am refining my pass rush moves and I hope to be able to be a bit more shaky with my moves on the offensive linemen to make some big plays this year. That is what I am hoping."
