Hawaii defensive lineman commits to the Buffaloes

Lyle Tuiloma impressed the coaches at the Maximum Exposure Camp in June.

The Colorado Buffaloes have landed their third commitment in just over a week with a verbal from Waianae, Hawaii defensive tackle Lyle Tuiloma. He is from a lightly recruited part of the islands and was relatively undiscovered until he was seen by coaches at the Maximum Exposure Camp last June. The Colorado coaches must have liked what they saw as an offer was subsequently presented.

Tuiloma becomes the eleventh member of the 2015 class and the first from Hawaii. He's the fourth defensive lineman to give his verbal to the Buffaloes.

Welcome aboard, Lyle!

Notes: From Rivals ($): "I'd rather play on the outside than inside, but if they're looking at me on the inside I can ball on the inside too. I don't mind playing D-tackle, it's fun, double teams coming at you. It's nothing I can't handle," Tuiloma said.

"I can play O-line too, but I really don't recommend it. If the team needs me there, for me it's all about bonding with my teammates and playing wherever the team needs me. ... We only have about 20-something guys on our team that are playing. On our roster we had about 40, but about half of them quit. Our coach, Keala Watson, he doesn't cut anyone they cut themselves. So if you see 40 guys listed, that's a lie."
