Buffaloes land a commit from Arizona defensive lineman

Brett Tonz becomes the eighth commit in the 2015 class.

Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE

The Colorado Buffaloes last night landed a verbal commitment from Arizona Centennial defensive lineman Brett Tonz. Tonz had offers from Air Force and UC Davis and interest from both Arizona and Arizona State. He received an offer from Colorado about a week ago.

Tonz played defensive end in college but Buff Stampede believes he will likely end up inside for the Buffs. He earned second-team all-conference honors in 2013.

Welcome aboard, Brett!

Notes: From Rivals ($): "I think just the physical mentality and the way I move my hands and my feet and my quickness for the size and weight that I am at," he said when asked what separates him from the average high school defensive lineman. "People think that I am not going to be as fast as I am or as quick as I am. Moving my hands and getting hands off of me and stuff like that also helps me."
