OL Sully Wiefels flips from CSU to CU

Mike MacIntyre quickly added a new Buff to the roster after the loss of Elijah Rodriguez.

Buff Stampede is reporting that American River CC offensive guard Sully Wiefels has committed to the Colorado Buffaloes after previously having pledged to Hawaii and most recently Colorado State. He was an all-conference guard as a freshman and an all-conference right tackle in his second season. He will likely play on the interior with the Buffaloes. He has three more years to play two.

Wiefels becomes the twentieth commit in the 2014 class and the third offensive lineman.

Welcome aboard, Sully!

Notes: From Rivals ($): "American River College had one of the better offensive lines on the West Coast this season and guard Sully Wiefels was a big part of the equation. Wiefels is a big and physical player at 6-foot-4 and 305 pounds, and is a two-time all-Valley Conference selection, which is one of the top-tier conf6erences in Northern California. Wiefels committed to Hawaii before the start of the season and had other offers from Idaho, Texas State and Sacramento State at the time. His ability to leave in January should help him get on the field early for a Hawaii program that needs a lot of help."
