Buffaloes Land Commitment from DT Eddy Lopez

The unheralded defensive lineman hopes to be an under the radar find.

When Coach Walters tweeted out the anticipated #CUin14 message signifying a new verbal commitment to the Colorado Buffaloes fans debated and guessed about who the new commit could be. Well it's safe to say that no one guessed this one.

Eddy Lopez, a defensive tackle from El Paso, Texas has little to no info on the recruiting sites and the only information to be found comes from a YouTube highlight video and a MaxPreps page with his name spelled wrong. He camped at CU earlier this summer per his Twitter account. Lopez finished with 41 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 23 quarterback hurries in his junior season for a team that finished 4-6. I imagine a lot more information will be coming out about this one.

Lopez becomes the ninth commitment in the Buffaloes 2014 class.

Welcome aboard, Eddy!
