Buffaloes Land Commit from San Diego LB Zach Brown

Mike MacIntyre has his second linebacker commit in three days.

Doug Pensinger

The Colorado Buffaloes have landed their third linebacker commitment with the verbal pledge of San Diego defender Zach Brown. Brown holds offers form San Diego State, Army and Colorado and was seeing interest from Cal, Stanford, CSU, Oregon and Washington. He becomes the third verbal from California, filling out the class with two from Texas and one from Colorado. In 2012, Brown tallied 70 tackles and four sacks.

Brown becomes the second commitment in three days and the sixth in the 2014 class. Slowly but surely, MacIntyre and his staff are starting to get this thing rolling.

Welcome aboard, Zach!

Notes: From Rivals ($):
"As a linebacker, my rushing the quarterback is what makes me really good. I either get the sack, or I force the quarterback to force a throw. That's what I think coaches see in me. I'm a defensive end-type of player, but from the linebacker position."

Brown said he had 8 sacks, around 50 tackles and a punt block as a junior.
