California athlete Donovan Lee commits to the Buffaloes

Mike MacIntyre has landed a big verbal for the defense.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Mike MacIntyre has landed his second cornerback (likely where he'll end up) commitment of the week with today's verbal from California running back/defensive back Donovan Lee. Lee is a teammate of current commit Rock Gamboa and could also see time on offense and as a returner in the future. Lee has a younger brother at wide receiver that will hopefully figure in for Colorado in 2016.

Lee becomes the seventeeth commitment in the Buffaloes 2014 class.

Welcome aboard, Donovan!

"I loved it the last time I went out there [to CU]," Lee recently told Rivals.com recruiting analyst Adam Gorney. "They (new coaches at CU) have a winning mentality. They know how to win and with the right guys coming in with our class, they could turn that whole program around the next few years."
