Colorado basketball will be looking to fill two unexpected roster vacancies, as Tad Boyle announced today that Tre'Shaun Fletcher and Kenan Guzonjic will transfer from the program.
Fletcher, who has one year of eligibility remaining, averaged 5.5 points and 2.3 rebounds in his 88 games at Colorado. The 2015 season was by far his best as a Buffalo, averaging 7.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. He was one of the team's better three point shooters, connecting 35 times from deep in 2015.
Kenan Guzonjic saw time in 13 of 34 games in his first season with Colorado, averaging slightly over four minutes per game. The 6'8" forward had his best game at Colorado against Hampton in the Las Vegas classic, when he recorded eight points and five rebounds.
"After meeting with Kenan and Tre'Shaun individually, both felt they would be best served by finishing their collegiate careers elsewhere," Boyle said in a press release. "We wish them nothing but the best moving forward in their careers."
With their departures, Colorado will have two additional scholarships to use going forward. It was not revealed where either player is looking to finish their career, and we wish them the best wherever they end up.
