Colorado can't overcome awful first half, falls to Arizona in Pac-12 Tournament

The Buffaloes put together a good comeback but couldn't overcome a terrible start.

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

It was a tale of two halves for the Colorado Buffaloes and unfortunately the turn around in the second wasn't enough to push the Buffs past the Arizona Wildcats as they fell 82-78.

After the Buffaloes scored a grand total of 20-points in the first half the team nearly erased a 22-point deficit to come back and steal a second victory from Sean Miller's squad.

Colorado came all the way back from that huge deficit by finally getting the offensive motor going and hitting the offensive glass when it wasn't. George King had 22 points and Josh Scott finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Buffaloes.

The Buffaloes kept clawing back every time Arizona tried to pull away, but couldn't make it all the way back, finishing just short.

Allonzo Trier scored 23 points and Ryan Anderson had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Wildcats.

Now Colorado waits for Selection Sunday to find out if they make the NCAA Tournament and where they may be headed.
