The regular season concludes with a home game against Arizona State and a road trip to Washington. CU should be able to gather some momentum before heading to Las Vegas for the Pac-12 Tournament.
Sunday, March 1 Arizona State
Colorado's last two home games against the Sun Devils have been memorable to say the least. An objective officiating disaster ensued in 2013, highlighted by Jordan Bachynski's elbow to the head of Josh Scott, resulting in a concussion (and a foul on Scott). ASU won in overtime by a 63-62 count on a last second three-pointer by Evan Gordan. Last year, CU got revenge on the home court, in a gritty 61-52 victory. Bachynski, public enemy number one, graduated, as did superstar scorer Jahii Carson, which should leave ASU fairly vulnerable in 2014-15.
Thursday, March 5 at Washington
The Buffs return to the court where Spencer Dinwiddie played his last minutes in the black and gold. Washington rolled Colorado after Dinwiddie exited last year in Seattle, but CU had just experienced a shock to the system, losing their leader to injury. You can bet the Buffs will be looking to atone for last year's road defeat at the hands of the Huskies.
Saturday, March 7 at Washington State
The 2014-15 schedule wraps up in Pullman with a visit to Ernie Kent's Washington State Cougars. WSU shot over 50% from the three-point line in last year's meeting (which was played in Spokane, not Pullman) falling in overtime to the then No. 15 Buffs, 71-70. I think CU's regular season finale will be a close game, but the Buffs should be able to get the job done against WSU.
Predicted Record: 2-1
