Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but Tad Boyle just signed a player from Texas that is a bit under the radar but had some strong suitors late. Oh, and the player is known for his defense.
No, he’s not the same as Andre Roberson or George King, but Elijah Parquet can add to the legacy. Parquet is a long, big guard at 6’4 who can handle the ball or play off guard. He plays aggressive on-ball defense and moves well. He is athletic, but not overly so, and is under the radar partially because he had to miss a lot of time with an injured shoulder. He chose CU over a top five of DU, Northern Iowa, Louisiana Lafayette, and Virginia Tech. A Buzz Williams guard is just fine with me.
Welcome, Elijah!
