The AP poll confirms a tough but magnificent schedule for the Colorado.

The performance of the Colorado Buffaloes in the 2022 Season was nothing short of disappointing. However, with the hiring of Coach Deion Sanders and his many roster and staff additions, the Buffs have a chance to improve their record dramatically in 2023, but one of the toughest schedules in college football is doing them no favors.

The AP Top 25 College Football Rankings were released on Monday, and five of the teams on the list will be Buffs opponents this season. These teams rank between the ranges of 6-18.

The highest ranked team that Colorado faces is current No. 6 USC. The matchup will be the finale of the in-conference rivalry between the Trojans and the Buffaloes as both teams plan to depart the Pac-12 for new conferences in 2024.

Both No. 10 Washington and No. 15 Oregon will also be joining USC as a part of the B1G next year.

No. 18 Oregon State is one of just four schools that are currently still in the Pac-12. After a remarkable 2022 campaign, a clash between the Buffaloes and Beavers will likely be intriguing.

The final ranked opponent for the Buffaloes is No. 17 TCU. Colorado faced off against the Horned Frogs at Folsom Field last September and were couldn’t hold on after a close first half. As the Buffs will kick off their season in Fort Worth on September 2, revenge for Coach Prime and his team may be on the horizon.

All five ranked teams will certainly be road blocks in the way of Colorado’s first season after rebuilding. However, the challenge may show how strong or weak this new team truly is.
