Buffaloes basketball schedule shows promise

Buffs fans have high hopes for a positive season.

The Colorado Buffaloes Men’s Basketball team can finally start prepping for their upcoming season’s schedule, which was just released to the public. After an extremely successful season that ended in the Round of 32 at the NCAA tournament, expectations are high.

The Buffs kick off their 2021-2022 season with a home game against Colorado School of Mines on October 27. From there they trek through seven games before they switch their focus to Pac-12 play starting in late November.

The big excitement of the season takes off in December when both the Tennessee Volunteers and the Kansas Jayhawks travel to Boulder to challenge the Buffs. Colorado only lost three non-conference games last season, one of which was to the Tennessee Volunteers.

With an overall 23-9 record last season, including a 14-6 in-conference record, it is apparent that the main focus for the season is performance within the Pac-12. The Buffs finished third in the Pac-12 rankings and ranked No. 22 in the country last year.

After surprising fans with their strong performance last year, Colorado has high hopes heading into the new season and continue to work toward a second-straight NCAA tournament appearance.
