Colorado Buffaloes all-time leading scorer Mason Crosby is no stranger to coming up big in the clutch. Sunday night in Santa Clara, Calif., the 15-year NFL veteran proved just that. With :03 seconds remaining, Crosby kicked a game-winning 51-yard field goal as time expired to give the Green Bay Packers a thrilling 30-28 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

The 37-year-old also connected on 54 and 38-yard field goals earlier in the contest. Through the first three games this season, Crosby is four-for-four in field goal tries and has made all eight of his extra point attempts.
Elsewhere around the league, Falcon’s cornerback Isaiah Oliver recorded two tackles, defended two passes and forced a fumble which he recovered in Atlanta’s 17-14 road win over the New York Giants. His performance was good enough to rank him atop Pro Football Focus’ highest-graded Falcons list from Week Three.

Right tackle Nate Solder played in all 70 offensive plays for New York in the loss. Houston Texans running back Phillip Lindsay couldn’t get anything going against a stout Carolina Panthers defense. Lindsay led all Texans running backs with seven carries, but only managed five rushing yards in a 15-point loss. Meanwhile, former Buffaloes standout Laviska Shenault Jr. caught all four of his targets for 48 yards in the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-19 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Baltimore cornerback Jimmy Smith (ankle) didn’t start the game but saw his first action of the season in the Ravens narrow 19-17 win over the Detroit Lions. Smith saw action on 19 defensive plays (30 percent) and finished with a tackle and a pass defended. Staying in the AFC North, former Buffaloes Chidobe Awuzie and Josh Tupou combined for two tackles in the Cincinnati Bengals 14-point win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Steelers cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Davion Taylor were listed as inactive for Week 3.
