On the latest episode of At the Buzzer, Jack and Sam first discuss transfer news and the QB battle at Colorado, then get into some prime offseason basketball content.
This past week saw news of Sam Noyer entering the transfer portal, meaning the Buffs will be without their starting quarterback from the 2020 season. Noyer was injured for most of the season and spent this offseason recovering from surgery, during which time freshman Brendon Lewis and transfer JT Shrout have evidently passed him on the depth chart. It’s anyone’s guess who will win the battle but we have our preferences.
After that, we break down Eamonn Brennan’s Pac-12 power rankings (subscription to the Athletic required). Colorado is discussed fairly in the article, but we have thoughts on the rest of the list.
Lastly, we get into peak offseason content and conduct the Pickup Basketball Draft. That is, Jack and Sam each draft four Buffs (with us being the fifth, presumably matched up against each other) that we would most want to play basketball with. It’s about pickup basketball, so it’s more about style of play and having fun than, say, building the best team from CU alum.
