Colorado wide receiver La’Vontae Shenault will be reinstated and is expected to play Saturday against No. 7 Oregon, according to CU athletics and first reported by BuffStampede writer Adam Munsterteiger.

Shenault appeared in the season opener vs. Northern Colorado before he was suspended on Sept. 13 for violating university and athletic rules. The younger brother of Jacksonville Jaguars receiver and CU great, Laviska Shenault, has 19 catches for 216 yards in five career games. He’ll be heavily relied on as an immediate deep threat due to the ongoing struggles for the Buffs offense.

Colorado relieved offensive line coach Mitch Rodrigue of his duties following last Saturday’s 26-3 loss against Cal. The veteran assistant oversaw a group that has allowed 22 sacks in seven games thus far in the 2021 season. Rodrigue will be replaced by quality control coach William Vlachos on an interim basis. The former first-team All-American center at Alabama was brought on by head coach Karl Dorrell in 2020.

Colorado hits Autzen Stadium for a meeting with Oregon on Saturday. The game will be nationally televised on FOX with a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.
