Colorado (1-4) heads west to the Golden State for a match up with California (1-4) on Saturday, Oct. 23. Kickoff will be at 1:30 p.m. MDT, and will be nationally televised (sort of) on the Pac-12 Network.
The Buffaloes and Golden Bears are two of the three teams currently winless in conference play. That number will be reduced to at least two with Colorado welcoming Arizona to Folsom Field this week. CU has the worst offensive output of any Pac-12 team with an average of 8.2 points per game.
The Pac-12 has a great slate of games in two weeks with a couple non-conference matchups.
USC at No. 14 Notre Dame (4:30 p.m. MT/ TV: NBC) and No. 19 BYU at Washington State (1:30 p.m. MT/ TV: FS1) will gather a tremendous amount of interest on Saturday afternoon.
Here’s a look at the remaining conference games in two weeks.
Friday, October 22, 2021
7:30 p.m. MT - Washington at Arizona, ESPN2
Saturday, October 23, 2021
1:30pm MT - Oregon at UCLA, ABC or ESPN (National)
5:30pm MT - Utah at Oregon State, Pac-12 Network
The game against Cal will be Colorado’s first trip to the State of California this season. They’ll also face UCLA at the Rose Bowl on Nov. 13. As for the all-time series record between CU and Cal, both teams have traded wins in the past five meetings since 2011, and the home team has won four of the previous five contests.
The only exception was a 36-33 overtime loss for the Buffs in Boulder one year prior to officially joining the Pac-12 conference. Also, this might be CU’s chance to get their first win in Berkeley since 1968.
