It didn’t take long before former Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. found the end zone. One of the newest additions for the Jacksonville Jaguars caught a 15-yard touchdown pass on a crossing route from QB Gardner Minshew II.

Viska’s TD tied the game at 14 shortly before halftime vs. the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The Jags rookie finished the day with 3 receptions for 37 yards and the score.

According to ESPN, Minshew completed 19-of-20 passes today (a completion percentage of 95) and he now has the two highest completion percentage marks in season-openers in NFL history (min. 20 attempts). The former Washington State QB was 22 for 25 last year (88 percent) for Jacksonville.

The Jaguars went on to beat the Colts, 27-20. It makes the first opening week win at home for Jacksonville since the 2011 season.

A crowd of over 16,791 (25 percent capacity) were in attendance at TIAA Bank Field on Sunday. The Colts vs. Jaguars was the only one out of thirteen games to host fans due to COVID-19 restrictions. All guests planning to attend NFL games in 2020 will likely be required to wear face coverings and abide by current guidelines.
