A Junior College transfer, Allen played 28 defensive snaps and recorded five special teams points for the #CUBuffs during the 2019 season.
A JuCo transfer originally from Tigard, Oregon, Allen is an athletic playmaker who never got a chance to show what he could do. Playing the deepest position Colorado has, he was buried on the depth behind All-Pac-12 performer Nate Landman, breakout player Akil Jones, and workout warrior Jonathan van Diest. Add in 4-star redshirt freshman Marvin Ham III and that’s a lot of competition just at inside linebacker.
Allen played three games on defense in 2019, picking up four tackles and two quarterback pressures. The rest of his time at CU was playing special teams.
Allen should have some solid offers as a transfer. He was rated by 247 Sports as the 6th-ranked JuCo recruit in the nation in 2018. He’s still relatively new to the linebacker position, so he has lots of untapped potential left.
We wish the best of luck to Jash wherever he plays next.
