For the past ten years a select group of NFL players have voted on the absolute best in the league — a poll called the NFL Top 100.
Among the top-tier athletes to make the list was former Colorado Buffaloes standout and current Green Bay Packer David Bakhtiari. The 6-foot-4, 310 pound offensive lineman came in at No. 62 according to the NFL Network's announcement.
One offensive lineman cracked the top 50 with Indianapolis Colts guard Quenton Nelson earning the honor at No. 29. Bakhtiari was ranked the third-best offensive lineman behind Nelson and Dallas Cowboys guard Zack Martin, who held down the No. 55 overall.
The trio was joined six other of their peers on the O-line in the Top 100. Laremy Tunsil, Texans at No. 66, Ronnie Stanley, Ravens at No. 74, Tyron Smith, Cowboys at No. 78, Ryan Ramczyk, Saints at No. 82, Jason Kelce, Eagles at No. 94 and Brandon Brooks No. 98.
Bakhtiari has the highest rating on Madden 21 at an excellent 96 overall, so maybe #62 is a bit low for the All-Pro left tackle.
Reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson was named the league's top player for 2020. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback was ahead of two other dual-threat passers in the top five. Seattle Seahawks Russell Wilson was a runner-up at No. 2, followed by Super Bowl MVP for the Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes at No. 4.
Here's a list of the entire NFL Top 100 via the NFL Network.
