After some recruiting success last week, the Colorado Buffaloes have landed another promising player. This time it’s Ryan Williams, the 3-star defensive lineman from Shadow Creek High School in Pearland, Texas.

Williams is an incoming senior, so he will part of the 2021 recruiting class. His only offer right now is from nearby Texas Southern, although he did draw interest from Arkansas and Oregon. It appears that Williams is late bloomer who should continue to get better as he fills out his current 6’4, 240-lbs. frame.
He’s a player who Buffs coach Chris Wilson fell in love with, per Adam Munsterteiger. Going off some film, he doesn’t appear an explosive athlete, but he reads the field well, knows how to free up his teammates, and can make big plays through anticipation. It’s easy to see him playing the 3-technique in the Buffs’ 3-4 defense.
Welcome, Ryan!
