The apparent mass exodus from UCLA to Colorado continues. After taking their most successful coach in the past 20 years (hot take, fight me), Karl Dorrell, and their leading receiver in 2012, Taylor Embree, AND their best recruiter in the past decade, Demetrice Martin, CU has now taken a player from the UCLA Bruins:
Thankful to say I will be attending graduate school at the University of Colorado and playing football for the Buffaloes! Excited for what’s to come! #skobuffs pic.twitter.com/PF0i9tii6f

Matt Lynch has obvious local connections. He starred as a quarterback for Legacy High School in Broomfield. After escaping the state to play for UCLA, he moved from QB to tight end to get on the field and take advantage of his 6’5 frame. His quest for playing time in the Pac-12 has now led him to the Colorado Buffaloes, who badly need tight end depth. Lynch will provide nice size and senior leadership for a group that needs experience. He is also a walk-on for the Buffs, so he won’t use a scholarship for his last year.
Welcome, Matt!
