The Colorado Buffaloes home opener will have to wait a few more days. The Buffs were originally supposed to play the Washington State Cougars on Saturday, but the game has been postponed due to coronavirus issues.
These issues are not on the Colorado side of things, at the very least. The Buffs just rescheduled their game against Arizona because at least one player had the virus and two others were in close proximity to him.
The Washington State women’s rescheduled their first two games of the season because of a COVID-19 outbreak, and now the men’s team is apparently afflicted. The Cougars just beat Oregon State on Wednesday, moving them to 3-0 on the young season.
Similar to Arizona-Colorado being pushed back to Dec. 28, this game will surely be rescheduled because it counts towards the Pac-12 standings.
The Buffs will next play on Tuesday against the Colorado School of Mines. That game at the CU Events Center is a make-up of their canceled meeting with Colorado State, which was canceled because of the Rams’ virus issues.
