Colorado Football - Nikko Reed is a Buff

The explosive ATH makes it official

NCAA Football: Washington State at Colorado Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

There are previous few California products for the Buffs in this class, and Nikko Reed is one of the precious ones. Karl Dorrell has plenty of connections in the Golden State, and he leveraged a few of them to get Nikko Reed on board.

Reed is a 3 star prospect that plays both sides of the ball, but like a few of the other athletes in this class, he will factor in on the defensive side of the ball. The 5’11, 170 pound speedster will also factor in on special teams if he can. Reed has plenty of opportunities to make an impact. Here is what we had to say about Reed when he committed:

The 5’11, 165-lbs. athlete is fast, fluid and versatile. He’s a deep ball receiver and an explosive punt returner, but he’s likely to move to cornerback. His smaller stature and quick movement is better on that side of the ball. He’s a smart player who uses his knowledge of tree routes to disrupt opposing receivers.

Welcome, Nikko!
