Colorado Football - Allan Baugh is a Buff

The physical DE makes it official.

NCAA Football: Nebraska at Colorado Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Karl Dorrell stepped in at a hard time for the Colorado Buffaloes. His first recruiting class was already finished when he was hired, so he had to start moving fast on the 2021 class. He started with a player at one of the top programs in the country in Allan Baugh.

At any time, he was surrounded by 5 star players, so he switched positions as needed to help the team and get on the field. He will play at defensive end for the Buffs, but he was on the offensive side of the field all this past year. He’s a big body at 6’3 and 250 pounds, and he will be a solid, physical player for years to come. Here is what we said about Allan when he committed, way back in April:

His tape will show that. He generally plays outside while in a 3-4 scheme and inside in a 4-3, meaning that he can play the run. He’s longer than he is tall, which is good for creating leverage, and he flows well to the ball-carrier. It can be tough to attribute his great play with any of the outcomes in his tape because the team around his just so stacked, but he has a great frame, nice length, and plays with great fundamentals. Not a bad start to the 2021 Karl Dorrell class.

Welcome, Allan!
