In a time like this, it makes a little more sense to stay home for college. Erik Olsen is making that choice and today, he’s officially a Colorado Buffalo.
Erik Olsen is one of a few early enrollees in this Class of 2021, which means that he is coming to Boulder as soon as next month. The tight end from Heritage High School is a highly-recruited prospect that plays with another superstar, Terrance Ferguson. Erik Olsen is a 6’5, 230 pound tight end that is a threat in the passing and the rushing game. When he committed, we wrote:
Olsen racked up 53 receptions for 836 yards and 11 touchdowns as a two-year starter for the Eagles.
At 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, the three-star prospect fits perfectly in Dorrell’s offense as an extra blocker and weapon. Tight end coach Taylor Embree developed a great relationship with Olsen through his recruitment. He’ll be relied on for his athleticism extensively as a future go-to option for the Buffs next quarterback.
Olsen was recruited by Taylor Embree for the Buffs, with an assist from Coach Chiaverini. He is a strong fit for this offense, which used the tight end often in 2020. After Brady Russell, there were no scholarship tight ends available to play in 2020, so Olsen may see the field early if needed.
Very , good in the pass and run game
