On the latest episode of the At the Buzzer podcast, Jack and Sam discuss the season ahead for the Colorado Buffaloes men’s basketball team.
The Buffs were a tournament lock a season ago, winning 21 of 27 games. They were projected as a 5- or 6-seed and the leading Pac-12 title contender, but they dropped their final four games of the regular season and bowed out to Washington State in the conference tournament. Even with that collapse, it was still a very good team that remains mostly intact for the 2020-21 season.
McKinley Wright IV is back, most notably, as are starters D’Shawn Schwartz and Evan Battey. The Buffs have a huge hole at forward with Tyler Bey leaving for the NBA, but they have brought in graduate transfer Jeriah Horne and will welcome in a few promising freshman. We also break down what the backcourt will look like, as Keeshawn Barthelemy, Eli Parquet and Nique Clifford will all fight for minutes.
