After declaring for the NFL Draft in December, Laviska Shenault Jr. since been living his best life. He even went to a Lakers game, sat courtside next to Kobe Bryant and got dapped up by LeBron James.
On Wednesday evening, Shenault announced that he has signed with Klutch Sports Group and Musgrove Agency. Klutch Sports Group belongs to Rich Paul, who may be the most powerful agent in the NBA. He represents LeBron James, his longtime friend, as well as Anthony Davis, Draymond Green, Ben Simmons and others. Paul is possibly the best in the business at getting the most for his clients, and if you don’t believe, look up Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s contract.
Klutch Sports is now moving into the NFL and it’s apparent they’re going for the up-and-coming stars. They represent only three current NFL players — Alvin Kamara, Melvin Gordon and Jarvis Landry — but they have signed at least six prospects in this upcoming draft. Signing Chase Young, Jeffrey Okudah and Shenault — all charismatic players with All-Pro potential — is a statement for Klutch.
Shenault signing with Musgrove Agency is less global and more local. Walter Musgrove is from Dallas, his base of operations is in Dallas, and he sets up football camps in the Dallas/Forth Worth area. Shenault is from DeSoto, just south of Dallas, and seems intent to stay engaged with his community well into the future.
