Saturday night is a pivotal matchup for the Colorado Buffaloes. Winning on the road against #24 Arizona State might be critical for their bowl aspirations in 2019. It’s such an important game that Colorado isn’t messing with fun alternates; instead, they’re going with what works.

The Buffs are wearing gold helmets with white jerseys and pants, the first time they’ve worn them since blowing out Colorado State in 2018. These are one of the elite uniform combinations in Colorado’s closet. They might be the best road uniforms the Buffs have, depending on your opinion of the classic gold helmet and black pants.
For what it’s worth, the Buffs are now 4-for-4 on uniform selections. Wearing traditional colors in wins over CSU and Nebraska was great. Although they lost to Air Force, busting out the underrated black-silver-black combo was the right time to experiment. Now they need a crucial win and wear these beauties.
The Buffs play ASU at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday night. The game will be aired on Pac-12 Networks.
