After beating CU’s traditional rivals wearing the traditional black and gold, the Buffs will break out the alternates in their third game of the season. The Buffs will kick off at 11am against Air Force wearing black helmets, silver jerseys and black pants.

The Buffs haven’t wore this uniform combination since 2015 against Oregon. They lost that game 41-24 in an attempted blackout upset, but it didn’t really work. This a different circumstance, however, as the Buffs will favorites against the sneaky good Falcons.
That game in 2015 was the only time CU has worn these, despite these being the best uniforms to include silver anything. The black helmet is hit or miss, but it combines with the black pants to make the silver jersey pop. Some people like the Raiders-esque silver-black-silver, but these black-silver-black look sharper, in my opinion.
Air Force will likely wear their standard road uniforms, which feature a white helmet, white jersey and blue pants. Either that or they’ll wear all white. Both are clean uniforms that should make this an aesthetically pleasing game.
