Blackmon led the Pac-12 as the Buffs punt returner last season

Colorado Buffaloes cornerback Ronnie Blackmon has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to team sources.

The junior from Atlanta, GA expects to be eligible this year, despite the start of the college football season being two month away. Blackmon is considering several schools including Oklahoma, UCF, and Florida State.

The 5'10", 190-pound speedster excelled as a two-way player during his young career in Boulder, returning kicks and punts along with breaking through in the secondary. He led the Pac-12 in punt return yardage (262 yards), eighth-most nationally, averaging 8.7 yards per return.

The announcement of Blackmon's scheduled departure brings the number of Buffs players who've decided to leave or been dismissed to seven since Mel Tucker took over in January. A majority of those players in the secondary with Dante Wigley, Kevin George, L.J. Wallace and now Blackmon.
