Colorado opens their home schedule against former conference rival Nebraska on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 1:30 MT on FOX, per an announcement by the Pac-12 conference on Thursday.
The Buffaloes renewed their rivalry with the Huskers last year in Lincoln with a 33-28 win. It marked the first non-conference game in the modern era between the schools from neighboring states. One of CU’s 19 wins all-time over Nebraska in 70 tries going back to 1898.
CU’s second game of the season will be the first time in nearly a decade Nebraska has traveled west to Folsom Field. Colorado is 4-6 overall in the last ten meetings with the Huskers, including a memorable 62-36 victory by the Buffs in 2001.
It’s likely that former Colorado QB Joel Klatt will call the game alongside his partner Gus Johnson as the No. 1 broadcast team for Fox Sports. Less than a 1,000 tickets are available for the game and can be purchased through CUBuffs.com.
