Colorado Buffaloes punter Alex Kinney was named Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the week, per an announcement on Monday.
The Fort Collins native helped the Buffs secure the 20-14 victory over Washington in Week 13’s action. Kinney had four punts on the night for a 45.8 yard average, with three inside the 15-yard line, including one that went out of bounds at the 1-yard line.
The second time in a month a CU special teams player was recognized for an outstanding effort. Davis Price received Week 11 conference honors for nailing a 37-yard game-winning field goal vs. Stanford on Nov. 9.
Kinney is one of the best in the nation and second in the Pac-12, averaging 44.4 yards per punt this season.
