Colorado Buffaloes defensive back Chris Miller will miss the rest of the season, per an announcement by CU athletics.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound cornerback from Denton, Texas suffered a torn ACL in Colorado’s upset win over 24th-ranked Arizona State on Sept. 21. Miller saw action in every game this season gathering up 11 tackles, three pass deflections and an interception.

Coach Mel Tucker said Miller was further behind in recovery than others earlier in the week and was unsure on his return. Later in the week, an MRI revealed significant damange and Miller chose to undergo surgery on Friday.

K.J. Trujillo replaces Miller for his first career start opposite Delrick Abrams vs. Arizona. The true freshman saw action two weeks ago at Arizona State and recorded two tackles.
