Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. was ruled out against the Arizona Wildcats, per an announcement by CU athletics.

The star wideout was listed as a “game-time decision” by coach Mel Tucker during the week due to an undisclosed injury suffered in Colorado’s victory over 24th-ranked Arizona State. Shenault lead nation in receiving yards and touchdowns before missed significant time with a leg injury last year. One-half of CU’s DeSoto starting receivers, Shenault has 17 receptions for 226 yards and two touchdowns on the season.

Mustafa Johnson is day-to-day, but is out against Arizona. The Buffs’ sack leader was ruled out for Saturday’s game after suffering a leg injury that required a walking boot vs. ASU. Johnson will be joined on the sidelines by cornerback Chris Miller, who suffered a torn ACL against Arizona State and will be out the rest of the season.

Arizona QB Khalil Tate will start after missing last week’s contest vs. UCLA with a hamstring injury. The dual-threat QB leads the nation 5th-ranked offense gaining an average of 552.3 yards per game. Arizona running back J.J. Taylor will also be playing, so the Buffs have to account for another electric playmaker.
