As we all knew would happen, Phillip Lindsay has been incredible with the Denver Broncos this summer. He’s played so well that Pro Bowl linebacker Brandon Marshall said “[Lindsay] is gonna be our third down running back.”
Just listen to Brandon Marshall rave about @I_CU_boy

The play that prompted the response was Lindsay embarrassing Marshall on a double-move that he turned into a 50-yard touchdown.
Phillip Lindsay just cooked Brandon Marshall on a double move and hauled in a Case Keenum pass for a 50-yard touchdown in 7-on-7

To Colorado Buffaloes fans, this is no surprise. Lindsay is a Buffs legend not only because of his work ethic and leadership, but because he routinely made huge plays. He’s an incredibly explosive running back who is always capable of breaking loose like he did against Marshall.
It was frustrating to see Lindsay be passed over at the NFL Combine and later go undrafted, but he has landed in the ideal place. The word on the street is that he’s been making plays like this all summer and he’s expected to make the 53-man roster. If Marshall is correct, he could very well work his way past Devontae Booker and into a prominent role this season.
Lastly, always remember that you should never doubt Phillip Lindsay.
