Team Colorado are hoping to compete in The Tournament (TBT) for the fourth consecutive summer. For them to secure a spot in TBT, they need to be in the top-9 vote-getters in the West region of the bracket. Voting ends June 1 and they’re currently in 8th place. You can vote here.
If you’re new to this, Team Colorado is a collection of former Colorado Buffaloes that are competing in a 72-team, single-elimination, winner-take-all tournament with a $2 million grand prize. Back in 2016, the Buffs alumni lost a heart-breaker in the championship game. Last year, they were upset in the Round of 16. Now they want to finally break through in what will likely be their last go.
This year’s team doesn’t look like as good as it did a year ago when they had Josh Scott and Xavier Silas (recently with the Celtics), but if eligible, they should still be one of the favorites. Team Colorado will have Marcus Hall, Richard Roby, Christopher Copeland (formerly of the Knicks), Marcus Relphorde and Austin Dufault, among others. TBT ran a power rankings on their website last week and had Team Colorado rated 6th best, noting that they will likely have TBT’s best frontcourt.
If you want to see Team Colorado compete for $2 million — the games are very entertaining, I promise — you should vote for them to make sure they’re in the tournament.
