Isaiah Oliver drafted by Atlanta Falcons in NFL Draft

Oliver fell to the 58th pick, but he found a home with a great team.

The wait is finally over. Isaiah Oliver was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons with the 58th pick in the second round of the NFL Draft.

Oliver was a projected first round pick and fell down the board for unknown reasons, but he has found the perfect home on an excellent team. Atlanta has a solid team and have an above-average cornerback combo in Desmond Trufant and Robert Alford. Alford is more comfortable in the slot, so the Falcons will likely play Oliver on the outside where he’s most effective.

Atlanta is also respected for their patience and stability, so they should give Oliver all the time and energy to develop into the elite corner he has the potential to be.

It was frustrating to see player after player selected over Oliver, but it was well worth the wait. Atlanta couldn’t be a better place for him to realize his dreams.
