The Colorado Buffaloes will always recruit Southern California, and Southern California will always provide great players for the Buffs. Thanks to the fine efforts of WR coach Darrin Chiaverini and the rest of the staff, Braedin-Huffman Dixon is the next So-cal star to join the Buffs.
Huffman-Dixon plays at Mater Dei high school in the Trinity League, which is probably the top high school football league in the country. He had a smaller statistical season his senior season as compared to his junior season, but he also had less touches due to MDHS having great depth at WR. BHD, as I will call him because I’m lazy, retained his 4 star ranking, with good reason. He’s still the great athlete and polished receiver he was last year. His tape shows great speed and some nice route running. He gets open early and separates late, which is exactly what you want in a well-rounded outside receiver.
Colorado, and Coach Chiaverini, held on to BHD despite some late pushes from Clemson, UCLA, and many other P5 programs. Huffman-DIxon joins a talented stable of receivers in Boulder that should be well-stocked for years to come.
