Colorado Football adds late Juco DL addition

Mel Tucker is adding size

NCAA Football: Northern Colorado at Colorado Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

There’s been so much recruiting news the past few days that a commitment from a defensive lineman, only the 2nd of the class, completely slipped under the radar. Mel Tucker hosted the biggest recruiting weekend of the year for the Buffs, and even then, Jeremiah Doss was completely unknown.

Well, now we know. Until today, Doss was committed to Old Dominion. He had one reported offer, from Old Dominion. He played at Hinds Community College in Mississippi this past year. So, he appears to be a relative unknown this recruiting cycle. The one reported offer tells me that he’s under-recruited and hasn’t been seen by many schools.

Jeremiah Doss is a big boy. He is a legit 6’4 and between 260 and 280 pounds. As a junior college transfer, he is relatively ready to play right away. His tape shows a relentless player. He has long arms and plenty of room to add a lot more weight. Mel Tucker has been trying like mad to add size, and size that can play right away. Doss fits the bill.

Welcome, Jeremiah!
