Miscues cost the Buffs their conference opener, just another reason to root for Spencer Dinwiddie, and a pair of former Buffs are among the fittest on the planet.
BUFFS FALL TO HUSKIES IN PAC-12 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME REMATCH
Colorado (3-1, 0-1 Pac-12) dropped their conference opener 37-10 to Washington (4-0, 1-0 Pac-12) Saturday in a game reminiscent of last year’s Pac-12 Championship. Miscues on offense and the inability to shut down Washington tailback Myles Gaskin (27 rush, 202 yards, 2 TD) were the difference. It was the Buffs first loss in their last nine games at Folsom Field.
WHERE IS THE BIG PLAY?
Despite the 3-1 start for the second straight season, perhaps the most telling statistic between this year and last year comes courtesy of Buffzone.com writer Brian Howell:
Last year, the #cubuffs offense had 10 plays of 50-plus yards. So far this year: 0. CU and Utah the only Pac-12 teams without one.

DINWIDDIE FOR THE WIN!
Put your hands together for Spencer Dinwiddie. The former Buff and current Brooklyn Nets guard announced Monday his plan to auction off game-worn gear from all 82 games this season to support a four-year scholarship program.
My plan is to auction off game-worn gear for each of the 82 games (mine or teammates) to support a 4-year scholarship program @Dinwiddie_FF https://t.co/kLDnDpQf98

PARADISE JAM IS MOVING
Damage from Hurricanes Irma & Maria have forced this November’s Paradise Jam Basketball Tournament to move from the U.S. Virgin Islands to a yet-to-be-determined-location. Colorado is one of eight teams in the field that has been given the chance to bid for the right to host the 3-day event which will now be held November 17-19. Tournament directors are expected to finalize the new location by Friday, September 29.
COBURN & SIMPSON AMONG FITTEST ATHLETES IN THE WORLD
Sports Illustrated released a list of the ‘Fittest 50’ male and female athletes in the world and it’s no surprise a pair of former Buffs track and field stars made the list. Jenny Simpson checked in at number 41, while Emma Coburn – who became the first American woman to medal in the steeplechase at last month’s IAAF World Championships – was listed at 34. Congrats Jenny and Emma!
ARIZONA GAME TIME ANNOUNCED

UNIFORMS FOR THIS WEEKEND’S UCLA GAME
The Buffs will be wearing all-black for this Saturday’s tilt vs. UCLA in the Rose Bowl. Nasty!

CSU TO REPRESENT THE STATE OF COLORADO
As much as I dislike Colorado State, these State of Colorado flag-themed uniforms they’ll be wearing November 11 vs. Boise State are pretty sick.

VIDEO OF THE WEEK
Former Buff wide receiver Jeremy Bloom’s still got it. While covering the Pearl Street Stampede prior to Saturday’s game vs. Washington for the Pac-12 Networks, Bloom was recognized by ‘The Twins’.
