Colorado has announced an interesting uniform combo for the Buffaloes’ first road game of the season at UCLA — a blackout from head to toe. One of the best in Colorado’s lineup will take center stage in front a national television audience (8:30 p.m. MT, ESPN2).

After not being used last year, Colorado’s last time going with the ‘black ops special’ was on Nov. 13, 2015 vs. USC at Folsom Field. The Buffs did use black jerseys, black pants and gold helmets against Utah in the season finale.
Black is a good look for the Buffaloes and hopefully it can help secure a second-consecutive victory over UCLA. A win long time coming for the Buffs — it’s been 15 years since their only Rose Bowl victory when they were members of the Big 12. CU wore traditional uniforms against UCLA last year in a 20-10 defensive win.
