Sefo Liufau Had a Great Moment in the First Episode of Hard Knocks

Sefo was born to sing.

Colorado State v Colorado

*SPOILER ALERT: If you haven’t watched episode one of HBO’s Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers yet, stop reading now*

A trip with Buccaneers star quarterback Jameis Winston to his hometown of Bessemer, Alabama, how newly acquired receiver DeSean Jackson is acclimating to the Florida climate, and the ever-popular rookie sing along we’re the highlights of Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, episode one.

And as far as the rookie sing along went, Colorado’s all-time leading passer Sefo Liufau killed it. Each Bucs rookie was given the task of signing a song of their choice in front of the entire team and coaching staff. Sefo chose to sing ‘If I ever fall in love’ by 1990s R&B group Shai, (If you’re unfamiliar with the song you can check it out here) and his performance received a standing ovation from Winston and the rest of the Bucs.

You can watch the full episode here. Sefo makes his appearance at 45:55.

Here’s what people are saying on twitter about the air-time Sefo received on episode one.

An undrafted free agent, Liufau is one of roughly 90 players trying to make the 53-man roster. He’s currently listed as the Bucs fourth string quarterback on the Bucs ‘unofficial’ depth chart behind Winston, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Ryan Griffin. It’ll be interesting to see how much playing time Sefo gets in the preseason opener this Friday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Episode two of HBO’s Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is Tuesday, August 15 at 10 p.m. ET.
