Hard Knocks is Back With a Buffaloes Quarterback

Game of Thrones.

Ballers.

Those shows pale in comparison to HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’, a hard-hitting annual series that gives viewers an inside look at an NFL team’s training camp. Ok, maybe that’s a stretch, but it’s still worth the watch, especially if you’re a fan of the Colorado Buffaloes.

Why?

This summer’s ‘Hard Knocks’ will focus on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the 11^th different NFL team featured on the show in its 12^th season. While second-year head coach Dirk Koetter, star quarterback Jameis Winston, and team sack leader Gerald McCoy figure to be the focal points of the show, Buffs fans might just want to keep an eye on No. 8.

Colorado’s all-time leading passer Sefo Liufau is one of four quarterbacks trying to make the Buccaneers 53-man roster. Ahead of Sefo on the ‘unofficial’ depth chart is Winston, the newly signed Ryan Fitzpatrick and Ryan Griffin. As an undrafted free agent, Liufau is a longshot to make the roster, as most NFL teams usually keep three quarterbacks. History is also against the 22-year old from Tacoma, Washington. It’s been 11-years since a former Colorado quarterback (Koy Detmer) saw action in a NFL game.
