We predicted some recruiting news this week, but not like this and not this much. It has been a summer avalanche of recruits. First, Davion Taylor commits on his visit, then Jarek Broussard does the same thing. Now, it’s Deion Smith’s turn. This is a big one, folks.
Deion Smith hails from Texas, a theme around the recent pledges to the Buffs. Smith plays at Second Baptist High School in the Houston area, the home of Connor Wood. Like Wood, Deion is highly recruited. He is picking the Buffaloes over Boston College, Indiana, Iowa State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Notre Dame, TCU, UCLA, Utah, and Vanderbilt. Scout ranks him as a top 10 RB in Texas, and it’s always a major get to pull that kind of talent out of the Lone Star State.
Smith is unlike any RB on our roster currently. He’s big, fast, and has a nasty stiff arm. He plays a little loose with the ball and sometimes bounces it outside when he should cut up, but other than that, there are few weak spots in his game. Quick, fast, big, and tough. What more could you want from an RB?
Blessed to say that I'm Committed to The University of Colorado!!! #CUin18 pic.twitter.com/68l808qJ9R
