Texas Speed Joins the Colorado 2018 Commit List

A speedy Texas athlete is jumping onboard

NCAA Football: Utah at Colorado Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Well, Coach MacIntyre has a new contract. I guess that was the signal recruits needed to stop waiting and commit to CU. That makes 3 commits in the week post-contract. This one is a fun one, too. Jarek Broussard, an electric offensive weapon from Texas, pledged to the Buffs. Recruiting is back!

Broussard is a pretty good player in Texas, which is not something that’s easy to get a commit out of. He hails from Dallas, an area that has been kind to the Buffs as of late, and should do just fine here. Broussard plays the position “playmaker” on offense. Whether he’s out of the backfield or in the slot, all he does is turn mundane plays into touchdowns. His tape shows exciting, well, everything. He has plenty of power for his size, his shiftiness is off the charts, and his top-end speed threatens just about everybody. It’s hard to find a more exciting highlight reel. It’s unclear what position he will factor into at CU, but no matter what, just get him the ball.

Welcome, Jarek!
