The football Buffs hosted a bunch of players this week, and at least one of them couldn’t leave Boulder without pledging to come back. Davion Taylor, the junior college linebacker, has committed to CU. JuCo recruits always have skewed recruitments, and it’s hard to find who else offered Davion. All we know is that he can play. According to Rivals, he’s listed as a commitment, so we’re taking it!
He claims a 10.63 100 meter draft, as a linebacker. Let me repeat that. 10.63 seconds to run 100 meters. As a 200 pound plus guy. That is crazy talk. It’s easy to see the speed on his tape. His closing speed is ludicrous and he is a terror off the edge. Put him at Buff-backer, the hybrid S/OLB, or just pure OLB, and he will terrorize the QB. He’s fast enough to play in coverage, too.
This commitment puts CU at 9 in the class, with Taylor being the first JuCo commitment. He will be a mid-year transfer.
Welcome, Davion!
