Tad Boyle has agreed to a home and home series with the New Mexico Lobos and head coach Craig Neal that will begin next season in Boulder, according to Geoff Grammer of the Albuquerque Journal. The Buffs will make the return trip to Albuquerque during the 2018-19 season.

Currently, the Lobos are 16-13 and fifth in the Mountain West following a three game losing streak that included losses to Wyoming and Colorado State. Their most recent matchup with a Pac-12 team was earlier this season when they were blown out by Arizona 46-77 in Tuscon.

This series gives the Buffs a chance to matchup with a traditional Mountain West power, in games that are sure to be good tests for the program. It also means that the Buffs will return to The Pit for the first time since their first round NCAA Tournament victory over UNLV in 2012. The teams last played during the 2010-11 season, a game New Mexico won. The Lobos lead the head to head series 7-5 all time.
