The Colorado Buffaloes will be set at tight end for the foreseeable future. The Buffs just saw a breakout season from sophomore Chris Bounds and now they have Darrion Jones committing.
Jones is currently a sophomore at Los Angeles Harbor College and he’s going to have two years to play in Boulder. At 6’6, 245-lbs., Jones has the size and physicality to be a force in the run game and he’s shown off the ability to make catches over the middle. In addition to Colorado, Jones was pursued by NC State, Hawai’i and Kansas.
Jones should be able to make an impact the moment he steps onto the field. We’re happy to have him on the Buffs.
