How the Colorado Buffaloes lost more than just the game against Arizona State, why their all-black uniform combo might not be the best choice versus USC, and CU’s women’s volleyball program continues their stellar season.
AS IF THINGS COULDN’T GET ANY WORSE
Following their disappointing 41-30 loss to Arizona State on Saturday, BuffStampede’s Adam Munsterteiger reported that Colorado offensive lineman Tim Lynott suffered a torn Achilles and will miss the remainder of the season. Senior Jonathan Huckins will replace Lynott at center against USC.
BUFFS WEARING ALL-BLACK ON SENIOR DAY
The Colorado Buffaloes will be donning all-black uniforms for this Saturday’s Senior Day matchup against the 11th ranked Trojans.
The Buffs are 0-11 all-time versus USC in a series which dates to 1927. They’re also 0-6 all-time in the all black look according to Buffzone writer Brian Howell.
7th time is the charm?! Buffs 0-6 all-time in the all black look, including 0-2 vs. USC (2011, 2015). But, it does look cool. https://t.co/jEoEYfjMjC

FORMER BUFFS GUARD INJURED
The San Antonio Spurs will be without Derrick White indefinitely after the former Buffs guard suffered a fractured right wrist Saturday. White was selected in the first round (29th overall) of the 2017 NBA Draft by the Spurs. He was just recently assigned to the Spurs G-League team (Austin Spurs) on November 4th.
NCAA TOURNAMENT BOUND
For the fourth time in the last five seasons the Colorado women’s soccer team is headed to the NCAA Tournament. CU (11-5-4) will host Denver (11-8-1) this Sunday at Noon MT on Prentup Field. The Buffs defeated the Pioneers 6-1 in September. Another win over Denver could set up a date with the No. 2 ranked North Carolina Tar Heels (15-2-2), a program that has claimed a record 21 NCAA Women’s Soccer Championships since 1982.
